Social Selling Sales Training Testimonial and Results
Jacobson & Grenier Group as part of their recent Social transformation and social sales training have integrated social with their Human Resource initiatives as well.
Recently an accounting position using traditional recruiting methods over a 3-month period had remained unfilled. Rather than continue with these costly and inefficient methods their Human Resource Coordinator (Salomi Narendran) decided based on her recent training to leverage social sales techniques.
She put together a video featuring one of the senior members of the accounting team discussing the company and their current need in their accounting department. This video was very well done and was not just a job description but rather a walk through one of their locations casually discussing the company, it's employee's and a high-level description of their need.

This video was then shared on both LinkedIn as well as Facebook and Instagram with all of their employees and through to the corporate page connections - followers. The results were tabulated strictly based on the corporate profiles and not the team member profiles as these were not available as yet.

The results were as stated by Salomi, "Amazing". In the end not only were they able to hire the person for the position but they did so quickly, efficiently and at no cost. Further their brand in their market continues to grow based on this as well as other ongoing social activities. The results are even visible at present. Following the exposure of not only C&C Rentals but the Group as a whole, they were able to later fill 2 more similar positions within the Accounting Division with ease.
Not long after this one of the companies within the group had a need for hiring multiple staff positions in their home building materials retail store. Their plan was to hold a job fair and to market this the traditional way using job boards, chamber of commerce announcements and on their websites.
The results of this traditional process were poor to the point that they were considering canceling the event. About a week and half before the event we were able to suggest they market the event via their social channels and profiles as they had done for their accounting position.
The results were "Amazing", once again as Salomi stated. Not only did they have an excellent turn out, but the resumes have been pouring in ever since.
Again these results are consistent with the proper and focused use of social when used on purpose!
What's even more interesting is that they have only just begun, the positive results of a completely integrated social program across the organization will be even more "Amazing!".
