​So, you want your teams to be masters of social media and begin bringing to your organization all the benefits that you have been hearing and reading about.

Researching B2B Social Sales and Social Selling

You've begun looking into how to help your teams take the next steps. With so many
tools and options available through LinkedIn and all the CRM's (Customer Relations
Management systems) available your thinking about purchasing one or more of these solutions.

Firstly, let me say congrats on realizing how important it is to get yourself, your teams and
indeed your organization online and active in the digital world. This in an of itself is the most
important first step as the next steps are much more likely to succeed once you realize what you
are missing out on.

told. You cannot buy, "Change", you have to earn it by learning and understanding the value before it can help. "Change", is the single hardest thing to accomplish, but "Change"; is what you must do.

​That the world is online along with all your customers is simply a fact. Now comes the tough
part, how do you and your teams join them?

The next step is the most important. You need to learn and research what it really means to be
online and leveraging social so that you and your organization can truly benefit. This can be
accomplished the hard way or the faster route of getting trained on "Social" through what we like
to call a "Digital Transformation".

Of course, we can help with this but that's not my point.
Every day we meet with companies and their teams to learn that they bought this or they bought
that, thinking these crazy expensive purchases would solve everything. This is a critical mistake
that will not only frustrate you but will turn you off from what is the real objective. That of
changing your current organization from an analog one to a digital one that is truly "Social" and
prospering in the online world.

In addition to this mistake, many companies think this is just needed for sales or marketing.
Wrong again. Social goes across your entire organization and so do the benefits. More
importantly if you don't get all your teams online via social your sales or marketing team will not benefit from it as much as they should. "Social" is an organizational transformation that begins from the top and filters all the way down. No one wants an organization full of separate silos, so why would you begin building one now?

purchasing, customer service etc. etc. This did not happen when they loaded up those new
expensive software licenses in their budgets.

Don't budget for that new CRM, new marketing or sales tool until you fully understand how to
